The Society was formed in the year 2003, The main goal of the trust is providing educational facilities in different fields particularly to the economically and socially backward part of the society so far unprovided and to the advantage of those who due to their limited resources can not afford going to distant places to avail professional and training in such field. The Society presently manages Five educational institutions.

The Lions and the Rising Sun ( which, together formed the Crest of the great Vikramaditya) represent indomitable courage and the rising light of wisdom. The Book Poised liaghtly on the petals of the lotus signifies the numerous branches of learning. The Silhouette of the temple of Mahakaleshwara symbolizes the sacred culture of the ancient city of Ujjain, the seat of the University

Amrita School of Engineering, Bangalore started in 2002 as "Amrita Institute of Technology & Science" with a vision to produce quality engineers with service attitude for the benefit of the society and nation. The school was conceived of as the grooming ground for future engineering professionals of India. Initially it had only three branches: Computer Science, Electronics & Communication and Information Technology. It was then affiliated to the Visveswaraiah Technological University, Belgum.
